LEED COMPLIANT PRODUCTS

LEED - (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is an ecology-oriented building certification program run under the auspices of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).  LEED concentrates its efforts on improving performance across five key areas of environmental and human health:  Energy, Efficiency, Indoor Environmental Quality, Materials Selection, Sustainable Site Development, and Water Savings.  Consumers around the world are learning about LEED compliant products, and are adapting them in their home everyday.  In addition, various types of LEED projects are currently underway in 40 other countries, including Canada, Brazil, India and Mexico.

Certain grouts, caulk, and thinset are considered LEED compliant because they do not grow mold and are solvent free, non-flammable, extremely low TVOC and low odor.  You can also find some tile that is made with recycled materials.
